As a Graphic Designer, I’ve always enjoyed illustrating. As the Brand- & Marketing Manager, for Beerbliotek I get to do it quite often, especially on the Fruit Sour range of beers they produce.
Fun. Fun. Fun.
Compared to their Standard Assortment, the Fruit Sour Ales get some special treatment, both in terms of flavour, as well as design. I don’t often have control of what comes out of the brewery, we’ve there is great people working, but I do have control over what the packaging looks like, and how the brand is positioned or perceived.
They started off with a simple Berliner Weisse called “Berliner Wise-Guy”, and then started expanding the range to eight different beers thus far. The names are very tongue in cheek, and a way for them to have some fun. There’s more on the way, and a lot more will be changed into cans.
