The story
Restaurant Piga is one of Gothenburg’s neoclassical restaurants and was started in autumn 2015. The maid around the turn of the century performed domestic work in her employer’s home or farm and all food had to be prepared from scratch. At Piga, they have been inspired by her thorough work and follow the seasons and cook everything from scratch. It is the meals that bring us together.
Piga approached me again in 2023 to photograph food this time around. The photographs were to be used for their social media and online presence. My idea was to have the photographs represent their pinkish colour from their interior.
